Standing at the heart of a vast 8-hectare Estate, Les Pres d’Eugenie are made up of 8 houses scattered throughout the water, rose and kitchen gardens and the meadows of the property.
A little river called the Bahus run through them.
Everyone goes around on foot, as the houses are only a few dozen yards away from each other.
On the left bank located The Main House; this is the Estate’s main building.
Its late 19th-century architecture recalls colonial time, with lace woodwork, beds of banana trees and giant bonsais.
It houses the Reception, Michel Guérard’s Gastronomic Restaurant, plus 23 rooms and suites.
L’Impératrice - this is where the Empress Eugénie stayed during her visit to the town.
This wing was built in 1808, during the First Empire, and is connected to the Main House.
It shelters Loulou’s Lounge Bar, the Salon des Dames and the Salon du Pacha, along with five royal and imperial suites.
The Couvent des Herbes - the 18th-century convent remained open until 1961.
The whitewashed walls of this poetic “Petit Trianon” hide eight rooms and suites, some of which open right onto the Jardin du Curé, the main kitchen garden of Les Prés d’Eugénie.
The Ferme Thermale - behind the Main House, planted in the Estate’s great meadow, this former 18th-century Landes farm covers an area of 1,000 m² and houses the Thermal Spa’s facilities.
Whether you’re here for a cure or just a few hours’ relaxation, its 21 individual treatment rooms, lounges and shop mean that whatever time you spend there will surely do you good.
The “Mère Poule” Café and the Cookery School - the latest stars in the Guerard galaxy.
Looking out onto both the Grand Rue du Village and the park of the Estate, the “Mère Poule” Café is a wonderful rustic setting, offering gourmets a real treat with “tartines” and home-made cakes.
The sublime laboratory at the Cooking School hosts professional training and cookery classes.
On the right bank located Les Logis des Grives.
Standing in a garden full of roses and fruit trees, this former 18th-century coaching inn is rustically refined with four rooms and deluxe suites.

The Auberge de La Ferme aux Grives - extending the Logis, the Ferme aux Grives welcomes all bons vivants, in the earthy setting of an old-style inn.

Two simple yet enchanting lodges, where Mother Nature reigns supreme.
A former hunting lodge, built in 1858 by Baron Boulart, the magnate who owned the then brand-new Landes forest and who was also an explorer, the hamlet of Huchet is laid out around a large colonial-style house, two wooden houses, former boathouses, and a small chapel called “Estelle de la Mar”.
The Guérard family fell for its charms and bought it in 1997, then restored the houses bearing in mind the way they originally used to be, and added their own magnificent collection of authentic furniture and paintings, dating back to the Indo-Chinese and Indo-Portuguese periods.
The sea gardens around the houses offer views of a kind you’ll only find there, on the Landes coastline.
The wood is washed clean by the spray from the outside and there are red lacquer cupboards, old earthenware jars and opium tables indoors.
The two lodges cover an area of around 120 m² and are made up of a vast lounge with a fireplace and coffee-making facilities, an intimate bedroom facing out over the sand dunes, a large bathroom with patinated floor tiles.
The “Rose des Vents” lodge has a sheltered terrace and a small attic bedroom for children (two children aged no older than 12).
The “Alouette des Mers” lodge has a small private garden.
These sumptuous suites come in a very refined décor of wood, white marble and original antiques from the eighteenth and nineteenth century.

Two royal suites are the only rooms of the field to open the boxwood gardens of secrets, south side.
Sheltered from the hot sun by a canopy of plane trees, they exude a feminine and elegant atmosphere with a fireplace, lit on request by the housekeepers and extensive room-suite bathroom.

Located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the main building, the Deluxe Rooms offer a beautiful view over the rear gardens of the Thermal Farm.
They open either on the main terrace and have chairs or on two lovely balconies, where you can comfortably have breakfast.
Fresh and refined decoration plays the beautiful materials, with their large en-suite bathroom of white marble, Persian carpets on parquet limed oak, and chandeliers to the old.
A sitting area with daybed or sofa soft allows book lovers to spend the day in the privacy of these beautiful rooms.
They consist of a bedroom with bathroom and separate toilet and a small separate living room with sofa, which can comfortably accommodate a child under 12 years.
These charming little suites are all different: some of them offer a separate lounge, others a private garden.
Canopies and fine fabrics create an ideal setting for lovers’ getaways.
Kitchen garden, Persian rugs, patinated floor tiles, an earthenware stove and aristocratic furniture have made these suites the Estate’s biggest hit, over the last twenty 20 years.
On the other side of the river, in the Ferme aux Grives’s kitchen garden, each of these four Deluxe Suites is different from the others, but they all offer a poetic refuge for antique lovers.
Their unusual architecture covers an area of from 40 to 60 m², hidden behind strong pebble and whitewashed stone walls.
There is a kitchen corner and a lounge, waxed floor tiles, gorgeous Arudy stone bathtubs and large canopies over the beds, all offering a truly dreamy experience for people who love to make the most of their rooms.
These five apartments on the garden level of the Maison Rose cover areas of from 35 to 50 m² and all give onto the Ferme aux Grives’s meadow.
They are made up of a bedroom set in an alcove and a lounge corner with a lovely, well-equipped kitchenette.
The service is simple and comes with a smile, rather like a guest house. Breakfast is served in the inn’s bright dining room.
There is no room service available at the Maison Rose apartments.
Rosa la Rose, Jardin Secret and Belle Nonette are the pretty names given to these three large rooms, each measuring around 35 m² (including the bathroom).
Fruit-tree wood fireplace, bee-waxed terracotta floor tiles and Persian rugs all create a very peaceful atmosphere.
Decorated in a soft and luminous tone, these rooms are equiped with a queen-size bed (160 x 200) or twin beds on request, a complete bathroom with shower or bathtube, a Satellite TV set, free Wifi, direct dial phone and mini-safe.
La Maison Rose is a Guest House; service is warm, yet very simple: no Room Service, neither Luggage Service; buffet breakfast is served in the dinning room, every morning, from 7 to 10 o’clock.
Covering an area of 28 to 30 sqm (bath-bathroom included) for standard rooms, and 32 to 36 sqm (bath-bathroom included) for the superior rooms, they have a nice view, or on water gardens, side or rear gardens on the west side.

At the end of the wing of the Empress, nest two best rooms in the house, imperial suites.
These large apartments of 120 and 150 m² consist of a large living room with sofas and fireplace, a bedroom, a beautiful bath-rooms, and a dining-room Dona Eugenia or dressing room Sweet Creole; this also allows them to accommodate a child under 12 years very comfortably.
Their large surface area gives them an opening on three cardinal points, with views of the gardens and waters the garden of boxwood secret.
Valuable paintings, Persian rugs, cashmere throws, armagnac the vineyards and sublime Empire I of objects there create a magical atmosphere of great refinement.
La Ferme aux Grives has just celebrated its twentieth anniversary! Its large tables d’hotes and terrace-garden have also made it very popular among large families with lots of friends. That’s a fine old age for this venerable inn, within whose powerful stone and Adour pebble walls stands a huge fireplace, with golden suckling pigs and great big Landes chickens roasting away.
The atmosphere is Gascon and earthy, the service is warm, with some of the most famous recipes from around the region and a wonderful kitchen garden. These are just some of the reasons why the Ferme aux Grives has become a genuine institution.

There are two gorgeous rooms both with fireplaces and a sunny terrace, giving off a cosy atmosphere of polished wood, with a sparkling samovar and polished copperware.
Here you can treat yourself to huge golden sweet or savoury “tartines”, cakes of the kind your grandmother used to make, all washed down with a glass of good local wine.
